At a special general meeting convened on Monday 11th September 2017, Marston Saints Football Club the committee unanimously accepted the resignation with immediate effect of John Page, Club Chairman.
The committee would like to recognise the hard work and significant contribution John Page has made to the club both in his time as chairman and as a supporter of the club in various roles for the previous 30 years, and wish him the best of luck for the future.
Following this resignation, under advice from the Oxfordshire FA, vice-chairman Sam White has agreed to take on the role of acting interim chairman for the remainder of the season to ensure consistency and stability, pending confirmation of this appointment at the next committee meeting.
A new permanent chairman will be sought at the next AGM (June 2018) and the club would like invite expressions of interest from all eligible candidates. Candidates must have been linked to the club as a player, parent or committee member (including lifetime vice-presidents) for the previous 2 full seasons and should express their intentions to club secretary, Kevin Juggins. Potential candidates wishing to hold an informal discussion about the role may contact Sam White (email@example.com), vice-chairman and acting interim chairman for further information. Any candidates must be nominated and seconded by club members to be considered eligible to stand.
