- 13 July 2010: The World Cup 201 Challenge - the winner is...
"Victory for Spain in last night’s final was the clincher for the top prizes in the competition. William Rowan who had been leading for most of the competition had predicted England to win, whilst many of the other contenders picked up 10 points for predicting Spain. So the final result for the MSFC World Cup Challenge reads as follows:
First Prize John Mcmahon £90
Second Prize Ian Homer £35
Third Prize Elliot Dandridge £18
Congratulations to the prize winners and many thanks to everyone who took part and raised £212 for Marston Saints Football Club." Darren Richards

- 29 June 2010: The World Cup 201 Challenge has 71 entrants. Following is from Darren Richards (U10s co-manager and World Cup Challenge organiser):
" Firstly, thank you very much for participating in the competition. It seems like it has caught everyone’s imagination and everyone is talking about who got what points and so on, so hope its fun.
We had a total of 71 entries which made for a total prize fund of £355.
Therefore, the prizes have now been confirmed as follows:
First Prize £90
Second Prize £35
Third Prize £18
This means that after prizes, the remaining proceeds for MSFC total £212, so many thanks for your support.
League Table
William Rowan has set a good pace throughout the competition and is currently leading on 53 points. However, there are a number of people breathing down his neck, John Mcmahon on 52, Mark Gregory on 48 and Ian Homer on 48. There are also a number of people in the late 30’s and early 40’s but remember the 10 points for getting the winner of the tournament right could be the clincher!
